A beautiful witch from the past brings spine-chilling terror into the twentieth century and to the present occupants of the farmhouse in which she was born three hundred years ago. She seems fully flesh and blood, full of diabolical lust and malevolent jealousy. She has put her mark on the man now living in the farmhouse (Finch) and he is completely under her spell. The only obstacle to her completely controlling his will is his wife: there is only room for one of them.
