Tales of Frankenstein

The Face in the Tombstone Mirror

1957

Synposis
Baron Von Frankenstein places the brain of a man who once pleaded with him to relieve his terminal illness inside a new body...

The Face in the Tombstone Mirror was to be the pilot for a new television series, building on the success of Hammer's The Curse of Frankenstein. Anton Differing took on the Peter Cushing role, with Cushing committed to other projects in the UK. The half-hour pilot was produced by Screen Gems in the USA, with Hammer's Michael Carreras on producing duties. It serves as a unique blend of classic Universal horror and Hammer gothic.
