Synposis
Having taken the wrong road Reverend Simon Cherry is hopelessly lost. As darkness draws near he seeks refuge at Harling Manor where Lady Harling insists he stay the night. Beneath the surface of aristocratic gentility Cherry realises that jealousy and animosity are rife amongst the members of this family and when Lady Harling's invalid daughter is found dead Simon's level-headedness is called upon to investigate.
