Synopsis
The powers of good are pitted against the forces of evil as the Duc de Richelieu wrestles with the charming but deadly Satanist, Mocata, for the soul of his friend. Mocata has the knowledge and the power to summon the forces of darkness and, as the Duc de Richelieu and his friends remain within the protected pentacle, they are subjected to ever-increasing horror until thundering hooves herald the arrival of the Angel of Death.

My all-time favourite British Occult/horror film. Christopher Lee is at his best in this film. Charles Gray, whom I am found of, acts superbly as well. To me this film is the ultimate British film taking place in the country side of England during the 20's and 30's. The atmosphere one comes to expect in such film is all there in this Hammer production. I recently heard rumors that Hammer is planning to release this film (and other Hammer films) in Blu-ray. Is this true? Can someone tell me more about it? Thank you...
