So You Want To Be In Pictures, the autobiography of acclaimed Hammer director Val Guest, is published on 26 April.
To mark the event, the Barbican in London is hosting a special screening of Guest's BAFTA-winning 1960 classic The Day the Earth Caught Fire. Guest will then be interviewed on stage about his 60 years in the film business, which included such diverse Hammer productions as The Quatermass Xperiment, The Camp on Blood Island and When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth.
Following the screening and the interview, Val will autograph copies of the book in the cinema foyer.
