Hammer are proud to announce the release of a new authorised book from Marcus Hearn (co-author of The Hammer Story the authroised history of Hammer Films). Hammer Glamour is a lavish new coffee table tome published by Titan Books and released on 25th September 2009.

Ever since the release of The Curse of Frankenstein, Hammer films have fused horror and sex, with the presence of barely-restrained  cleavage. Influencing an entire generation of Hollywood filmmakers including George Lucas, Martin Scorcese and Tim Burton.

The hardback book is packed with rare and previously unpublished photographs, gathered from Hammer's archive and private collections all around the globe. It also features many new interviews and promises to be a lavish, full-colour, all-encompassing celebration of Hammer's female stars including Ingrid Pitt, Martine Beswick, Caroline Munro, Barbara Shelley, Joanna Lumley, Nastassja Kinski, and of course Raquel Welch.

Marcus Hearn has worked with Hammer since 1994, initially as editor of the company's official magazine and latterly as a rights and archive consultant. As well as co-writing The Hammer Story (which was republished in 2007 to much acclaim), he has contributed to over 50 dvds, written for magazines as diferse as SFX and The Guardian and written authorised books on Gerry Anderson, George Lucas and Star Wars: Attack of the Clones amongst others.
