Hammer to publish new fiction
It was announced at the Frankfurt Bookfair that
PFD have secured a landmark deal to handle worldwide publishing for Hammer Films. The announcement was made by Caroline Michel, CEO of PFD who said:
"We are overjoyed and proud to represent Hammer at such an exciting time in the company’s history. Hammer is an iconic household name with a loyal fan base and the raft of forthcoming initiatives will create a whole new generation of devotees. We plan to bring new life to the brand with exciting contemporary writers and we are looking for partnerships with publishers in all territories."
The deal will see a slate of brand new fiction created under the internationally renowned Hammer brand.
Simon Oakes, Co-Chairman and Co-CEO of Exclusive Media (Hammer's parent company), said:
"Hammer has a fine literary tradition, most notably its adaptations of seminal gothic titles such as Dracula, Frankenstein and Jekyll And Hyde. As we come to reinvigorate the brand for the Twenty First Century with new Hammer stories, we can think of no better partners in publishing than Caroline Michel and PFD.”
