The dream sequence is, obviously, brilliant. And the zombie make-up as well as the design of the villain's lair (and mask) is fantastically creepy. However, too much of the film is bogged down in what I call "drawing room" scenes, and the zombies are used a little too sparingly for my liking.
Terence Fisher delivers a worthy sequel to his original masterpiece. It's a little frustrating that it takes so long (half the movie) before Dracula is resurrected, but the film has class and beauty, helped by the unusual (for Hammer) cinematography.
The best Dracula movie ever made, thanks to the stunning visuals and the intensity of Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. I agree with everyone who says we need a definitive release, although I think it should be released on DVD as well as blu-ray, because not all of us own a blu-ray player :-)
