Back in the early 80s many of you will remember BBC2 putting on that Saturday night Horror double bill and I remember seeing this film. Awesome. The performance of the silent Richard Wordsworth was compelling and real. The deformed limb he carried around was pure horror. The film had a great English atmosphere.
Fantastic and fortuitous casting, Ralph Bates represented so believably by the facially similar Martine Beswick. Both are attractive actors and Brian Clemens' writing up to the usual standard. His 1970's ATV Thriller series has yet to be beaten as far as I'm concerned.
