It's sad that this film usually is looked on by most Hammer fans as a real pooper! But, I've always loved it. Great scenes with Peter and Christopher...and really great ending, like the theme music too. Maybe, if you haven't seen it for a while...grab a lovely dvd in smashing clear quality and give it another whirl...you know you want to really..

One of the finest British horror/fantasy films of all time. Christopher Lee's turn as Duc de Richelieu was played to perfection. It's a shame he didn't play more heroic types. The film has superb pace and atmosphere and is a guilty pleasure of mine. If Hammer were to remake this, then Lee would be incredibly hard to beat. The role would require charisma and gravitas on an epic scale. Dennis Wheatley's Strange Conflict would make a great sequel.
Very underated kitsch modern-day Dracula film. Although some of the dialogue amongst the 'teenagers' was already a bit outdated in 1972, this is a colourful and often successful attempt to bring Dracula into modern times. There are some excellent supporting performances from Christopher Neame and Carlone Munro and some of the scenes around the Church and graveyard are extremely atmospheric.
An all time classic , one of the best ever Hammer films and an outsatnding performance from Oliver Reed. In fact i'd go as far as to say the best ever Werewolf movie.

one of my favorite films from Hammer Peter Cushing is delightfully evil in this one.
